During this Covid-19 pandemic, many people found themselves locked up in their homes as they adhered to various governments directives and also by choice as part of staying home to stay safe. The demand for good entertainment rose but in many cases viewers were left with very little to choose from and yet the subscriptions of some TV packages remained the same or went up. The people’s depleted income levels require a solution that satisfies the viewers expectations and that saves them money.

All media houses and entertainment companies and/or broadcasters are invited to share the content they want distributed. Broadcasting rights will then be issued to MyTV-Basket to air and broadcast the selected content as programs for an agreed fee over an agreed period.

Instead of being limited to already set TV packages that contain some programs that one doesn’t enjoy for a fixed price, the viewer will access The One Big Basket’s list of programs to select programs of their choice thereby creating a MyTV-Basket. Each program is sold at a profit and will also show the cost for a specific period. There will not be refunds once the online purchase is completed successfully. The owner of the content and the MyTV-Basket will receive their funds instantly and according to their agreement. Money is saved by paying for exactly what one wants to watch for a given period.

Distribution

MyTV-Basket, will be available over internet, fibre connection and as a satellite pay as you go channel.

Upon completion of the purchase of MyTV-Basket, the viewer is issued with a pin code which they will be required to enter together with their username to access their programs and watch wherever they have access to My-TV-Basket. The issue of age restrictions and vetting will be done upon completion of the registration process. All the viewers classified as children will not be allowed to purchase programs that are above their age. Lastly, family members will not clash on viewing programs at the same time. If using one device, each member can select to watch what they want at their convenient time otherwise one can choose to watch from a different device.
