Human Resources (HR)
I think people have changed their dream jobs many times in one’s life time. As I reminisce my childhood I see myself sketching some doodle fictional character. Thinking to own self I will be artist in the future. Moving forward in time seeing that I was good at numbers, I remember thinking I would love to be great mathematician. Moving further seeing my father’s photo in the Nepal Army, I dreamt of joining the armed force and serving the country. Fast forward to today, I am a person who wants to manage human resources.
Like an artist who is patient to use their creativity to create a masterpiece, I think one should be very patient with people. One should give them time to show their creativity and innovative ideas in creating their masterpiece.
Plus, managing humans is not just an art but also a way of playing with numbers. The magic of HR helps in giving the idea about the value of a firm’s manpower, and makes it possible to view numerically where one lacks and helps show the pathway of improvement.
Discipline is a must in every job; you must have a sense of respect to one another in any job one dreams to work at. Like a soldier looking at his/her comrade, HR needs to look after its people, protect their interest, coordinate with them, and work together hand to hand to make an organization great.
My dream job is to be part of the Human Resources fraternity, where one has the chance of constantly growing, using creative ideas to manage and develop humans, using the power of numbers to train humans, where one works in discipline with respect to one another serving each other. ~ Gopal Subedi |
